Future History Now 2023: How We Roll!

Join us at the rink Saturday, February 25th at the OTR Recreation Center for part one of our annual Future History Now festivities! We’re pairing roller skating with a panel discussion featuring local Black business experts, to highlight the role (and “roll”) of entrepreneurs & storytellers in sustaining community spaces like the OTR skating rink, and to celebrate roller skating as a source of joy and expression within Black culture. Following our lesson, we'll roll right into open skate with music provided by MORTAR Alum, DJ HD, and screen the "United Skates" documentary.
