Downtown's Court Street Lobster Bar announced on Monday, Nov. 23 that they have made the decision to temporarily close their doors due to the rise in COVID cases.

The eatery, which opened in the spring of 2017, posted about the news on their Facebook page, explaining that "due to the pandemic’s exponential growth recently," they are closing their doors until further notice.

"Even though Governor DeWine is allowing restaurants to remain open, we believe protecting the health of our customers, employees and their families is of utmost importance," the post reads. "Have a great Thanksgiving and we hope to see you soon!"

The folks behind Court Street Lobster Bar also owned neighboring eatery Fiery Hen, which permanently closed in August. The Nashville hot chicken joint opened in early 2019 and stated that they "could not keep the fire going" through the pandemic. At that time, they also assured visitors Fiery Hen had closed, Court Street Lobster Bar would remain open "well into the future.
