Enjoy Plant-Based Food, a Vegan Chili Cook-Off and Yoga at the Annual Cincy VegFest

A celebration of plant-based living returns to Clifton this June with plenty of food, yoga, music and a vegan chili cook-off.

The sixth-annual Cincy VegFest will be held at the Burnet Woods Bandstand on Saturday, June 1 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festival is free to attend.

The event kicks off with community yoga with Anna Ferguson, the author of World Peace Yoga, at 11 a.m. Attendees can experience food demos from some Cincinnati plant-based chefs, enjoy vegan fare, shop vendors and listen to live music from performers like MayaLou Banatwala and Nicholas Radina. There will also be children’s music with Manuel Susarret and Bob Graff, standup comedy from “The Succubus of Satire” Emily Buttrick and an arts and craft area sponsored by Clifton Cultural Arts Center.

Also returning this year is the Vegan Chili Cook-Off. It’ll be the second year for the cook-off, with last year’s winners, 9-year-old best friends Noah and Bella, returning as judges alongside Heather Donaldson of Mad Cheese and Alex Nager of Harmony Plant Fare at Findlay Market.

Cincy VegFest organizers say a​​ll community cooks, chefs, home kitchen gurus or anyone who loves sharing plant-based chili may enter the contest. To see the official rules and enter, visit Cincy VegFest’s website.
