Cincinnati entrepreneur Rico Grant signed the lease for 138 W. Fourth St., where he plans to open LoVe Nightclub.

A new nightclub is expected to open in downtown Cincinnati later this year. Rico Grant, who also owns Gallery at Gumbo and Cinema OTR, signed a lease with 3CDC for a space at its 4th & Race development, where he plans to open LoVe Nightclub.

Grant describes LoVe as chic, elevated and sultry, with Tiffany blue accents, some modern art and custom wallpaper. All the decor will be love-related and designed to immerse patrons in the feeling that they’re in an “oasis of love,” says a press release. TriVersity Construction and City Studios will be leading the design team.

Along with the alluring vibes, LoVe will also offer bottle service and eight VIP sections, with a flagship VIP area situated above the rest that will be wrapped in a custom gold sofa and provide a backdrop for Insta-worthy photos of your night out. Other amenities include a coat check and valet parking.

“We’re pairing a nightclub with Grade A hospitality the way Jeff Ruby’s pairs a great steak with hospitality,” Grant said in the release.

The club’s DJ booth will feature state-of-the-art sound and lighting, allowing those managing the space to create a different guest experience based on the crowd and the vibe of the evening.

And Grant isn’t just an entrepreneur — he’s also dedicated to empowering people of color, having founded Paloozanoire, an organization that elevates Black artists, corporate leaders and entrepreneurs, in 2019.

“Rico is known as one of the most well-connected entrepreneurs in Cincinnati and he has shown a passion for showcasing all the city has to offer while uplifting others in the community,” Lindzie Gunnels, commercial leasing manager for 3CDC, said in the release. “Over the past several years, 3CDC has been very intentional about increasing the number of Black-owned businesses in our storefronts, so we’re thrilled to work with someone who shares this ambition and is such a leader in the space. Rico has created an undeniable vibe at Cinema in OTR and we’re excited to see him expand on that and do it on an even larger scale with LoVe.”

The nightclub plans to also create 20 part- and full-time job openings, which you can apply for here.

Buildout of the space has already begun and is slated to be completed this fall, followed by both a soft and grand opening.

LoVe Nightclub will be located at 138 W. Fourth St., Downtown. More info: loveonfourth.com.
