Rock and Roll Artists Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter Bringing Their World-Record-Breaking-Attempt Tour to Covington

Rock and roll musicians and songwriters Devon Allman and Donavon Frankenreiter are on a mission to perform 50 shows in 50 states in less than 50 days, and this country-galloping tour is heading to Northern Kentucky.

Allman and Frankenreiter, joined by singer-songwriter Matt Costa, are bringing their “See it All American Tour” to the Madison Theater in Covington this August. The musicians and longtime friends are attempting to set the official world record for the fastest time to play a concert in each state, which was last set in 2003 by anti-folk artist Adam Brodsky, who hit all 50 states in 50 days. Allman and Frankenreiter will be attempting to do the tour in just 49 days.

The tour kicks off on Aug. 5 with two shows, one in Maryland and the other in Pennsylvania.

“From there, the tour will officially take off bringing these road warriors to places they’ve never been, at a pace that’s never been done, testing their wills at every turn,” reads a press release.

The tour wraps Sept. 22 at the second annual BeachLife Ranch, a coastal country festival in Southern California that was co-founded by Frankenreiter.

As part of the tour, the duo released a collaborative EP, Rollers, last month, which will serve as the soundtrack for the “See it All American Tour.” Rollers features six songs and was produced by Luther Dickinson of the Grammy-nominated North Mississippi Allstars. Songs include the previously released “Calling All You Riders” and “See It All,” as well as a guest appearance by Maggie Rose on the new track “We Belong.”

In addition to the songs from Rollers, Allman and Frankenreiter also plan to play some of their solo songs with a four-piece backing band.
