Grab your bucket hats, JNCO jeans and neon jackets, because the ‘90s are back in Cincinnati for one night only this summer.

The “I Love the 90s” tour, a concert that takes guests back in time with some of the most iconic names in rap, hip hop and R&B of the decade, will stop at Cincinnati’s Hard Rock Casino Friday, Aug. 9. Hitting the stage that night will be rapper Vanilla Ice, R&B artist Montell Jordan and Rob Base, half of the hip hop duo Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock.

If you need a refresher on your ‘90s hip hop and R&B stars, Vanilla Ice is best known “Ice Ice Baby,” the first rap single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard singles chart, with its catchy sampling of Queen’s “Under Pressure” and earworm lyrics like “If there was a problem / Yo, I’ll solve it / Check out the hook while my DJ revolves it,” captivating Gen X and Millennials alike to this day.

Montell Jordan is best known for his first single, “This is How We Do It,” which was No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks straight. His debut album of the same name went platinum in 1995.

And Rob Base, who burst onto the hip hop scene with DJ E-Z Rock in 1988, is a platinum-selling artist best known for his debut album It Takes Two, which reached No. 4 on the Billboard R&B albums chart. The album gave the world three hits, including the title track, “Get on the Dance Floor” and “Joy and Pain.”

“I Love the 90s” tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster.com and HardRockCasinoCincinnati.com on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m.
