New Kids on the Block

Cincinnati’s ‘80s and ‘90s kids: Get ready for a magic summer of nostalgia as New Kids on the Block announce they’re bringing their new tour to Riverbend Music Center next year.

New Kids on the Block, along with special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff, will stop in Cincinnati on Friday, June 21 as part of “The Magic of Summer” 2024 tour. The ‘90s pop icons say the tour is a reimagining of their sold-out 1990 tour of the same name, and they hope to bring that same magic to fans old and new.

During the tour, concertgoers should expect New Kids on the Block’s greatest hits, unexpected fan favorites and surprises, reads a press release. The tour will also be the band’s first mostly outdoor venue tour in 15 years, stopping by some of the same venues they performed at in 1990 — the height of their fame.

“The true ‘magic’ of this tour is in the music, the moments and the memories that we get to create — and recreate — with our amazing fans each night,” New Kids on the Block member Donnie Wahlberg said in a press release. “Feeling all the nostalgic feels of the original Magic Summer, with the bond that we’ve shared throughout the years, will make for a most magical time indeed."

Fanclub and Citi ticket presale begins Wednesday, Nov. 1 with additional presales throughout the week. Citi card members will have access to tickets from noon Wednesday until 10 p.m. Thursday. General ticket sales start at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 3. You can get tickets at riverbend.org or ticketmaster.com.

Along with the tour, New Kids on the Block will also release a revamped version of their 2008 comeback album The Block on Friday, Nov. 3.
