Words and Pictures: New Works by Eric Deller, Dale Jackson and Michael Weber: The title is as simple as Thunder-Sky artist Dale Jackson’s block letters scrawled across 8-by-11 sheets of paper and ceiling tiles. Yet his stream-of-consciousness jottings about airplanes, cars, streets and Motown are pure poetry.
The pictures by Eric Deller and Michael Weber are equally lyrical. Deller, a design student, mines dark fairy tales to create sinister silhouettes laid against swirling sunsets. Weber, also a Thunder-Sky artist, makes abstracts, often applying paint with a scraper or block. A picture might take him only 10 minutes, but each is worth a thousand words.
Curated by Thunder-Sky Inc. Opening reception: 7-10 p.m. On view through July 27. Free. Semantics, 1107 Harrison Ave., Brighton, 513-823-8914, raymondthundersky.org.
