After Cincinnati's Greyhound station made the controversial move from Downtown to the suburbs, Metro has stepped in to enhance access to the station.

On July 24, Metro announced it will soon add new service along Route 43 to serve the new Greyhound/Barons Bus station at 398 E. Galbraith Road. Route 43 will now provide 24-hour service to the Galbraith Road station seven days a week, as frequently as every 30 minutes during peak travel times, Metro said.

“Since its relocation from Downtown to Arlington Heights last fall, Metro has been in discussions with Greyhound on how best to continue providing this critical connection for Hamilton County residents to access this inter-regional transportation service,” said Metro Sr. Vice President of External Affairs Brandy Jones. “Thanks to those residents’ continued support of our mission, we are pleased to provide this new service.”

Greyhound officially began operations at the new Arlington Heights terminal location in November. It placed the new station about 13 miles north of the old Downtown terminal that was operating near Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati.
The move prompted some local residents to call out both the company and the city for isolating riders who needed a more centrally-located station.
