The Cincinnati Ballet closes its 2015-16 season with Director’s Choice, a selection of four pieces from four groundbreaking contemporary female choreographers. According to ballet artistic director and CEO Victoria Morgan, women are significantly underrepresented in professional ballet’s choreographic and leadership roles. “My hope is that in some grassroots way, as a prominent midrange ballet company, we can influence the future of women leadership in our art form,” she says. Performances include the world premiere of Redeem, an infusion of ballet and Hip Hop from Jennifer Archibald; Habitual, a sensuous pas de deux from DANCEFIX’s Heather Britt; A Solo in Nine Parts, a raw and modern showcase by Jessica Lang; and Annabelle Lopez Ochoa’s Cylindrical Shadows, which explores the themes of life and death through movement.

8 p.m. Friday; 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday. $32-$110. Aronoff Center, 650 Walnut St., Downtown, cballet.org.
