Today is the first day Ohioans can cast their ballots for the 2020 General Election.
For those not wanting to wait for Election Day on Nov. 3, or have concerns about voting in-person due to the pandemic, Ohio offers several other ways to vote early.
Voting by mail
Ohioans can vote by mail if they first request an absentee ballot. Those ballots are being mailed out to voters beginning today and they should be received soon.
The ballots are to be mailed back to a voter’s county board of elections office.

Voting by drop box
Ohioans who requested an absentee ballot can also drop off their ballot rather than mailing it.
Each county has a drop box located at its board of elections office.
The below map displays the location of each elections office throughout Ohio.
Voting early in-person
Each county has a location in which voters can cast early in-person ballots.
For most counties, that location is the board of elections office. Six counties have separate early voting sites: Lucas, Trumbull, Clark, Marion, Ashtabula and Summit. The above map has the sites displayed, or click here for a directory of early voting location addresses.
