Spice up your weekend by attending the second annual Salsa Festival. At Thursday’s free kick-off party on Fountain Square, enjoy live music from Son Del Caribe, a salsa demonstration and a free salsa class by Salsa Underground. Get amped for the fest during Friday’s pre-party at the Contemporary Arts Center from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. For $15, you can witness the elimination round of the Tristate Salsa Open Championship and hear lots of live music.

The festival itself takes place at Sawyer Point on Saturday and Sunday. Salsa dancers from across the country will show off their skills on the dance floor. Admission is free and there will be plenty of food, demonstrations and activities for the whole family to enjoy. Noon-10 p.m. Saturday; Noon-9 p.m. Sunday.
