The Greening of the City
Imago and Price Hill Will present ¨The Green City,Ó a series of seminars on urban sprawl and sustainable development.The first program is from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday. ¨My SpaceÓ examines how can we make our homes and residential areas more healthy and sustainable. The themes of other seminars include ¨Our Space,Ó June 23; ¨Public Space,Ó June 30; ¨Through Space,Ó July 7; and ¨Putting it All Together,Ó July 28. The seminars met at St. Lawrence Church in Price Hill.The cost for the series is $30 and includes four dinners. One evening is $15 including dinner. Demand an End to U.S. Torture
The Education for Peace in Iraq Center is circulating an online petition demanding President Bush end the torture of Iraqi prisoners by American occupation forces. The petition calls for the United States to declare unequivocal support for the Geneva Conventions and the framework of law that came about following World War II.
