Margot Gotoff, a Cincinnati artist and teacher, is the winner of this year's Ohioana Pegasus Award, given by the Ohioana Library Association to honor an Ohioan for exceptional cultural achievements. —-
Gotoff, born in Rochester, moved to Cincinnati in 1986 when her husband accepted a teaching position at University of Cincinnati's Classics Department. She sculpts in clay, bronze and glass. Her larger-than-life glass sculptures have been exhibited and collected widely. The Ohioana Library Association gave out 15 awards this year — 14 for authors and one Pegasus Award for cultural achievement. Gotoff was the only southwest Ohio resident to win any of the awards.
