If you’re a fan of the zany humor of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, you probably love the musical Monty Python’s Spamalot, which proclaims proudly that it’s “lovingly ripped off” from the 1975 film. It’s a hilarious tongue-in-cheek spoof of a spoof, with dancing girls, King Arthur, Knights of the Round Table, cows, killer rabbits and overbearing Frenchmen. Showbiz Players, a solid community theater group that has a flair for offbeat productions, is presenting the show that won three Tony Awards in 2005 (it was nominated for 14) at Covington’s Carnegie.

Performances through June 8. $24.50. The Carnegie, 1028 Scott Blvd., Covington, Ky., 859-957-1940, showbizplayers.com.
