OK, so the latest Luc Besson factory product has a somewhat organic link to the previous model. Taken 2 charts the collision course between former CIA operative Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) and Murad Krasniqi (Rade Serbedzjia). Krasniqi wants revenge; Mills killed his son, but to be fair, he did so because Krasniqi’s son had kidnapped Mills’ daughter. For comeuppance, Krasniqi kidnaps Mills and his ex-wife (Famke Janssen), and Mills has to escape and train his daughter (Maggie Grace), on the fly, in the ways of killing to help him defeat Krasniqi. Besson enlists Olivier Megaton (Transporter 3 and Columbiana) to take the helm here and part two looks like it will take more than its fair share of the weekend box office. Now in theaters.
