Baby Yoda has been "having a moment" for several weeks now, thanks to his scene-stealing turn in the new Star Wars series The Mandalorian and the subsequent flood of memes and gifs.
Disney was slow to roll out merchandise for da Baby (officially known as "The Child") but did manage to get a few items out before Christmas, with more shipping later in 2020.
In the meantime, the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County's Main Library downtown is offering a couple of opportunities to make your own DIY Baby Yoda goods.
If you are a Baby Yoda-crazed teen (or are a grown-up Star Wars nerd perhaps close to one that owes you a favor?), the Main Library is hosting a crafting event this Thursday, Jan. 9 at 4 p.m. just for you.
"Teens in 6th-12th grade, make a Baby Yoda plushie companion for all your galactic adventures," reads the event page on the library's website, where you can register for the Teen MakerLab gathering.
Tomorrow will be a great day. Want to know why? Because tomorrow from 4-6pm in the Main Library, teens can make their very own Baby Yoda plushie to take home for free! Sign up now: https://t.co/8X74QWtzo2 pic.twitter.com/BXdXOvK3NS

Older Baby Yoda stans can also make their own memento at the Main Library. In response to queries on Twitter about whether one might be able to pull a 21 Jump Street and sneak into the teen plushie-making event, the library reminded fans that anyone can use one of their 3D printers located in the Main Library's MakerSpace to make one. Get details on the MakerSpace's hours and more here.
