On the last Saturday of every month, you can don a pair of headphones, crank up a playlist of tunes of your choosing and dance the night away at Madison Theater in Covington thanks to a new Cincy Silent Disco residency.
The first Cincy Silent Disco night at Madison Theater will be Saturday, April 27 from 8 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. If you’ve never heard of a “silent disco,” it’s an event where attendees get a special set of headphones and then DJs or playlists will broadcast various channels and genres of music for you to choose from.
“Silent Discos are so much fun because you’re in control of the music and experience. They are anything but silent, though, with everyone singing along and having a blast,” Brian Johnson, Cincy Silent Disco partner, said in a press release.“Silent Discos are the type of thing that you really need to try out to fully understand, but, yeah, we couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with Madison Theater to be hosting these parties every month in Cincinnati!”
Organizers say the first silent disco will be an introduction to the event, but more dates and themed events will be announced later.
“We’ve found that people love to get dressed up and engage with a theme at these events and we fully anticipate announcing some really creative events soon,’” Johnson said. “For our first event, we just wanted to showcase what we do at our core, the DJs, and their talents and music tastes.”
Tickets to Cincy Silent Disco are $12 in advance and can be purchased here. You can also buy a ticket at the door for $17 or a 10-ticket pack for $100 in advance.
