If FC Cincinnati beats Toronto FC on June 21, the team will match the Major League Soccer record for most consecutive wins to begin a season at home.

The beloved Orange and Blue are undefeated at TQL Stadium in the regular season. That’s nine straight wins at home, with an overall record of 12-1-4. Toronto FC is 13th in the Eastern Conference, according to FC Cincinnati’s Match Day Guide with an overall record of 3-5-10. FC Cincinnati is currently ranked first in the Eastern Conference.

FCC competes on home turf on June 21 after a 10-day break and without five crucial players.

According to an injury report from MLS, Brenner is out with an ankle injury; Matt Miazga and Brandon Vazquez are on international duty, competing on the US Men’s National Team in the CONCACAF Gold Cup; and both Sergio Santos and Nick Hagglund could potentially be out with hamstring injuries.

But Toronto FC isn’t facing FC Cincinnati with a full roster, either. The Canadian football club is missing eight players, two of those being prized goalkeepers Sean Johnson and Tomas Romero, according to the MLS report.

Sounds like FC Cincinnati’s not so secret weapon  The Bailey (the club’s supporters’ section) will come in clutch tonight. (Home field advantage is real and it’s totally a vibe thing). Passion is always tangible at a home match and it has a lot to do with the support of FC Cincinnati fans.

According to a 2023 ranking from goal.com of the average number of MLS fans, FC Cincinnati is the 5th-most supported team in the league and on average TQL Stadium hosts about 25,427 guests per game.

Since 2002, the San Jose Earthquakes have held on to the record for most consecutive wins (10) to begin a season at home, but FC Cincinnati is coming for it tonight.

Tickets to the match are still available here. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. at TQL Stadium, 1501 Central Pkwy., West End.
