Prost! Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is getting a new home.

Organizers announced Tuesday that the 2024 festival will be held at Sawyer Point and Yeatman’s Cove this September. Last year, the event was held on Fifth Street and in the years prior had taken place on Second and Third streets.

Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is the largest Oktoberfest outside Munich. Organizers say the new location will provide a more European-style festival that will allow visitors to relax and enjoy the scenery. There will also be much more space to spread out — one of the chief complaints from festival-goers in recent years had been the crowding.

There will also be a 300-foot-long beer tent that can accommodate up to 1,000 people, as well as new experiences along the riverfront. Favorite traditions like the running of the wieners, stein-hoisting competition and the kickoff tapping of the keg will remain.

The festival will still span four days, from Thursday, Sept. 19 to Sunday, Sept. 22. For more information, visit oktoberfestzinzinnati.com.
