Help your children fall into the magic of books at a brand new book festival coming to Cincinnati in June.

The inaugural “Read With Me” Children’s Book Festival will be held at the Carnegie Center in Columbia Tusculum on Saturday, June 10 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The festival is sponsored by the independent bookstore The Bookery and is free to attend, but you will need to register for a ticket.

At the festival, local children’s book authors will host story times and book signings, as well as writing workshops. Children can also make fun, bookish crafts and will receive a free book thanks to the Adopt-a-Book organization. Parents with children 5 and under can also sign them up for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, in which they’ll receive a free book every month.

The morning session of the festival (10 a.m. to noon) will be geared toward children 6 and under while the afternoon session (noon to 2 p.m.) will be designed for kids ages 6 to 12, but children of all ages and their siblings are welcome at either session. Street pops and popcorn will also be served on the lawn.
