4. Butcher and Barrel
700 Race St., Downtown
”I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I loved the atmosphere. It was just cool! Our server was so nice and helpful. We got the meat platter to share mainly because my husband wanted to try the blood sausage. It's good. The texture is different. I'm glad our server suggested a side order of bread. The gnocchi is very delicate and garlicky in a good way.” — Amanda G.

20. Carlo & Johnny
9769 Montgomery Road, Montgomery
”Seriously our favorite place for special occasions and awesome steaks. Jeff Ruby has set the bar so high, we can't go to other steakhouses without comparing the food and service. My husband took me to Carlo & Johnny for my birthday dinner. We split the Freddy salad and the crab cake for an appetizer. I had the awesome Steak Burrow. They even threw in a birthday treat, the butter pie is so good it's criminal. Another awesome meal with them! Never a bad time.” — Mara C.

19. Metropole
609 Walnut St., Downtown
”Fantastic food- fantastic service. My mom has some dietary restrictions and not only did they change up a plate for her, but they charged her appropriately for what she got instead of charging her entree price. Interior is great for special occasion or just passing through. There menu changes so don't expect to get the same thing twice! You must capitalize when you see it." — Kathryn M.

”Salazar is one of Cincinnati's best restaurants. It is our go to when we have something special to celebrate (birthday, anniversary etc). We go for both dinner and brunch. Everything is amazing. 13. Prime Cincinnati
580 Walnut St., Downtown
”Had the best date night here! So many great things to mention - our waitress, Abby, was fantastic. So sweet and prompt! The waiter helping to bus was really kind too, I didn't catch his name though. We started with the crab cake and it was soooo good. I got an 8oz filet with mushrooms and onions, and my husband got the NY strip! Steaks were cooked perfectly and were So. Damn. Good! We split the bacon bourbon Brussels and the Parmesan risotto. The risotto is pretty rich, so keep that in mind. Heated up great for leftovers though! There was great live music and we had a wonderful little date night. Felt safe and masks were worn by all the staff the entire time (and none underneath the nose lol). Thank you Prime!” — Amber C.

9. Blinkers Tavern
318 Greenup St., Covington
”First off this place is amazing. We chose to go here for date night while in town. We started off with the poutine and crabcakes that were both amazing. My husband and I both got the filet mignon, I chose to do mine with the mashed potatoes and he did his with asparagus we both chose to top our steaks with the cheese topping. Everything tasted so good and the steak was cooked well. Each steak comes with onion crisps things which is random but they were really good as well. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area!” — Jamie H.

The complimentary bread and sweet butter were also fantabulous." — Jude W.

1. The Precinct
311 Delta Ave., Columbia Tusculum
”All of Jeff Ruby's restaurants set the bar high - very high. Our experience at The Precinct reinforced that. Stellar seems almost disrespectful when describing the food. Our group of 6 had a variety of steaks, chicken, and even some vegetarian choices. I had the New York Strip. It was cooked perfectly with added Peppercorn sauce. Soooo good. Brussel Sprouts we're unlike any I've ever had before with the right balance of spices and flavors added. Polishing off the night was a butter pie that has replaced cheesecake as my favorite dessert ever. Our server, Ryan, kept the train rolling all night very smoothly for us. Everyone seemed genuinely glad that we were there. Awesome time. Amazing food and service.” — Scott B.
