The Findlay Market Opening Day Parade journeyed down Race Street for the Cincinnati Reds season opener for the first time since 2019, after being cancelled the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Multiple Hall of Famers were in the parade, including Barry Larkin, who was the parade’s Grand Marshal. Former Bengals player Anthony Munoz and retired sportscaster Marty Brennaman were also in the parade. Munoz joined other former Bengals players on a Bengals-themed float that included Ickey Woods, James Brooks, David Fulcher, Jim Breech and Louis Breeden.
There was also an Olympic float that featured local Olympians Nick Goepper, David Payne, George Wilson and Mary Wineberg. Goepper won a silver medal in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
