A popular local pizzeria is coming to the West Side of Cincinnati. Catch-a-Fire Pizza, which recently announced it was closing its flagship location inside MadTree in Oakley, will now partner with West Side Brewing to open a kitchen in its Westwood taproom.

“We have been wanting to be a part of the Westwood and west side community for a long time since our food truck days, and we couldn’t be more excited to be joining forces with West Side Brewing,” Catch-a-Fire co-owner Jeff Ledford said in a press release.

“Our model of uniting our food service operation within a brewery taproom works. It makes sense for us to focus on providing top-quality food while allowing the brewery to focus on the brewing process. We think it’s a win-win!” co-owner Melissa Ledford added.

The new location will feature a hybrid-style service. Guests can place their orders, relax and enjoy their beers while waiting for their food to be delivered. The menu will feature Catch-a-Fire’s popular wood-fired pizzas, including One Love, Three Little Pigs, Buffalo Soldier and Crazy Potatoheads, along with appetizers, entrée salads and artisan sandwiches with vegan and vegetarian options.

Catch-a-Fire plans to be open for lunch and dinner, with similar hours to the brewery. It will also provide catering services for private events at the brewery.

West Side Brewing, which has heavily relied on food trucks since opening in 2017, says it’s excited to add a permanent, in-house kitchen to its repertoire.

“We greatly appreciate the support of our food truck partners, but we’re confident that adding a consistent taproom food provider with extended service hours is best for our customers, and we couldn’t be more excited to work with a top-notch operator like Catch-a-Fire,” West Side Brewing co-owner Joe Mumper said in the release.

The brewery and pizzeria say they’re looking forward to collaborating on things like special events, food and beverage pairings and rotating features.

While an official opening date hasn’t been announced, Catch-a-Fire says it will be opening in West Side’s taproom in early 2024. The pizzeria also has locations in Blue Ash (9290 Kenwood Road) and Lebanon (511 N. Broadway St.). See their menu here.
