A new three-day event called Brewmania has been announced. Running Oct. 1-3 at various venues around the city, the event is described as a "celebration of the Queen City’s craft beer industry."

“Many people know about Cincinnati’s proud brewing heritage,” says Brewmania co-founder Bill Donabedian is a press release. (Donabedian also founded or co-founded local events like the MidPoint Music Festival, Bunbury and Brandemonium.) “We thought it was time to shed some light on the incredible craft beer being brewed in the region today.”

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, Brewmania comes to Fountain Square for its Tasting & Tunes event, featuring a free and open-to-the-public concert by Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, The Bottle Rockets and 500 Miles to Memphis.

Other participating venues include MadTree Brewing, Moerlein Lager House, Moerlein Tap Room, Rhinegeist, Taft's Ale House, Taste of Belgium and Yard House.

Here are the complete descriptions of the happenings scheduled for Brewmania:

Tuesday, October 1:

Starting at 5pm, Brewmania attendees will begin their journey at Taft Ale House for a flight and some bites. Attendees will go out in groups on a brewery tour of historic Over The Rhine and will eventually end up at the Moerlein Tap Room for more sampling and snacks. There will also be an after party at the Yard House at 10pm. Attendees will get to try other craft beers from around the U.S. and see if they stand up to Cincinnati’s best!

Wednesday, October 2:

Starting at 5pm on Fountain Square, there will be the Tasting & Tunes event. A dozen Cincinnati craft breweries will have several varieties available to sample. Attendees will be able to grab food from a few local food trucks while listening to music that will include Roger Clyne & The Peacemakers, The Bottle Rockets, and 500 Miles to Memphis. (The concert is free and open to the public!). The after party on this day at the Moerlein Lager House will take place at 10pm for more tastings.

Thursday, October 3:

Starting at 5pm at Rhinegeist Brewery, attendees will get to sample several beers and enjoy complimentary food. Throughout the evening, attendees can take tours of the famous brewery. At 10pm, attendees can jump on the street car and head to Taste of Belgium at the Banks and try some European craft beer. There is a private event at 6pm at MadTree Brewery for the Cincinnati Chapter of the P&G Alumni Network. There will be plenty to eat and drink while listening to Eric Solomon speak. Eric is the former Head of Brand Strategy for Google/YouTube and is now with Blackbird.

Tickets for the various tastings and tours are available here. (Attendees of 2019's Brandemonium — which runs concurrent to the beer events — get Brewmania access for free.) Visit brewmania.com for more info.
