Braxton Brewing Co. is releasing the latest limited brew in its "trip" series — Wintertrip — with a tropically themed weekend of special events.
Wintertrip, described as an "easy to drink, slightly tart and lightly fruited pineapple berliner weisse," follows the release of Summertrip. The new beer will be available on tap in Braxton's taproom on Oct. 19 and in cans Oct. 22.
Head to the taproom starting Friday for a Holtman's Donut pop-up shop (they'll be selling pineapple fritters and other baked goodies), plus a photobooth. On Saturday, there will be live music from local Reggae band Jamwave. And all weekend long, guests can enter to win two Ultimate Air Flight vouchers and buy pineapple beer slushies or a tropical pizza from ALTO, topped with pepperoni, pineapple, jalapeno and citrus glaze.
Festivities kick off at 7:30 a.m. Friday (Oct. 19) and continue through the weekend. Free admission. Braxton Brewing Co., 27 W. Seventh St., Covington. More info here.
