Downtown's Black Owned Outwear Opens Black Coffee on Elm Street

The coffee shop and lounge will also have a focus on local art

Downtown's Black Owned Outwear Opens Black Coffee on Elm Street

blaCk Coffee is a new downtown coffee shop and lounge from the owners of BlaCk OWned. It held its soft opening 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 19.

Located at 824 Em St., it features a menu of coffee, tea and Matunda cold-pressed juices, plus a couple of sandwiches and pastries.

In addition to a focus on coffee, the shop also highlights local artists. Right now, keep an eye out for cup art. blaCk. Coffee held a competition wherein local artists could "tell a short story" on a coffee cup using art. Twenty selected cups will be on display.
