Halo stuffed with Graeter's Black Raspberry Chip ice cream

Last summer, Busken Bakery and Graeter's Ice Cream collaborated on a tasty new treat, merging two of the sweetest spots in the city into one delicious frozen dessert — and it has returned.

The Halo takes a freshly made glazed donut, stuffs it full of ice cream and then hot presses it for a sealed, caramelized glaze. Yum.

Halos are priced between $4-$5 and come in five standard flavors, including black raspberry chocolate chip, chocolate and cookies and cream, plus one mystery flavor.

According to Busken's Facebook page, they've rolled out three upcoming dates where you can visit their Hyde Park bakery and snag one:

  • 5-9 p.m. July 16
  • 5-9 p.m. July 17
  • Noon-9 p.m. July 18

And each day, they'll be giving out free swag like T-shirts and headbands to the first customers to visit.

After that, the Halos will be available certain hours starting July 21.

The Halos are currently only available at Busken's Hyde Park store, which is located at 2675 Madison Road. There is no Halo food truck this year.
