Cincinnati's 29th-annual Bockfest celebration returns March 5-7, and like most things we've experienced this past year, it will look a little bit different.

The fest features three days of protracted celebration held to honor the coming of spring, bock beer and OTR’s brewing heritage.

But due to the pandemic, the festival has cancelled some of its main events in order to keep their guests safe, like the Bockfest parade, Bockfest hall gatherings and the Sausage Queen competition. But have no fear, organizers were hard at work to provide plans for a special (and safe) way to experience Bockfest this year.

Guests can choose from a variety of Bockfest packages to enjoy at home, which range in price from $35-$175 and include things like bock beer, food, T-shirts, posters, pint glasses and bockwurst, so folks can party at home. Packages are for pre-sale only and will be picked up on Friday, March 5 at Over-the-Rhine's Woodward Theater.

And while the Bockfest at home packages were all void of the inclusion of the a goat, organizers did tease that you may catch a glimpse of a few traipsing around town over the weekend.

If you'd like to celebrate Bockfest wall supporting your local businesses, the website says there will be two dozen restaurants and bars participating across town, with local bock brews, themed eats and live music to enjoy

Like your Bockfest with a side of history? Hop on a historic brewery walking tour on Saturday, March 6. Tickets are available online.
