The Peach Truck tour is a favorite part of summer for fruit fans, and the Nashville-based operation is continuing its annual tradition in spite of the current pandemic.
With new health and safety precautions in place, Stephen Rose and his wife, Jessica, will be bringing farm-fresh Georgia peaches to stops across Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Texas, Florida and Louisiana.
All stops will now feature online pre-ordering — that means no standing in giant lines, clustered together. All customers need to do is reserve their peaches five days before their local tour stop and they'll get a confirmation email with a pick-up time. Preorder at thepeachtruck.com.

The Peach Truck team says, "Customers arrive at their designated time and show their confirmation to receive peaches through a contactless pickup. In addition to operating under social distancing requirements, all Peach Truck team members will undergo daily temperature checks, wear masks and gloves and will only accept credit or debit card payments to avoid hand-to-hand contact."
Peaches are $43 for a 25-pound half-bushel box and the farm is also selling pecans for $10 per 10-ounce bag. The team will also have copies of The Peach Truck Cookbook available. Peaches are available for home delivery as well, via a subscription service.
The Peach Truck was founded in 2012 by Stephen, a Georgia native who moved to Nashville and was immediately disheartened by the lack of fresh, flavorful peaches on grocery store shelves. After taking his wife Jessica to his hometown peach farm in Fort Valley, Georgia — in Peach County, no less — the duo decided that yes, those grocery store peaches were no good and that they needed to fix Nashville's peach problem.
Since then, they've been delivering peaches directly from their farm to consumers on their annual summer tours.
