Need to make plans for Father’s Day this weekend? Jungle Jim’s International Market is hosting the 15th annual International Craft Beer Festival June 17 and 18, where you can sample among 400 lagers, ales, ciders, seltzers, canned cocktails and more made by 100 craft breweries from around the world (with a solid lineup of local brewers to boot).
Jungle Jim’s is already well known in the region for its unrivaled selection of groceries sourced from all over the world, but beer aficionados also revere the market for its excellent stock of brews, which will be on full display this weekend.
The fest takes place at The Oscar Station in The Oscar Event Center, a large private events venue adjacent to the original Fairfield Jungle Jim’s location. On-site food trucks will provide some much-needed sustenance to accompany the massive selection of drinks, while music courtesy of the Kevin McCoy Band (Friday) and Second Wind (Saturday) keeps everyone’s toes tappin’.
General admission tickets are $55 and will score you a commemorative tasting glass, tasting guide and access to a world of samples. Early admission tickets are $65 and will allow you to sip an hour earlier than general admission, plus more if you sign up for Jungle Jim’s “Brew Crew” beer newsletter. There’s a $25 ticket for non-drinkers if your stalwart designated driver wants to feel involved, which comes with complimentary soda, coffee and water all evening. Eastgate residents might be interested in the Eastgate bus tickets available for $65, which entitles you to early admission perks and transportation to and from the fest from Jungle Jim’s Eastgate.
The shindig starts at 7:30 p.m. both evenings for general admission and the party goes until 10:30 p.m.. For more information, visit junglejims.com/international-craft-beer-festival.
