If you need a delicious, last-minute present, Over-the-Rhine bar Somerset is selling bottles of its mystical-looking Ube Margarita in a special gift package.

Last December, Somerset unveiled a new winter look and menu. While it was all oh-so-enchanting and ethereal, the Ube Margarita with its disco lime garnish stole the show. The drink has become super popular since, winning both the Critic's Choice Award and the People's Choice Award at CityBeat’s ninth annual Margarita Madness in May. It was also chosen as Cincinnati’s “Best To-Go Batched Cocktail” in our 2023 Best Of Cincinnati.

Described as “a delicate mixture of pineapple-ginger tequila, lime, agave, and ube tincture,” the drink tastes more like a tropical vacation than a winter drink. That, of course, makes it perfect as a gift or stocking stuffer for the winter days ahead.

For a limited time, Somerset is offering its locally batched 750ml Ube-To-Go bottles (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for $40. The bottles contain five 5-ounce servings and include the sparkly disco lime for garnish. Each purchase also comes with a $25 gift card that can be used at Somerset, Over-the-Rhine discothèque bar Alice or Second Story, a new bohemian cocktail bar in Covington.
