The Banks' E+O Kitchen to be Featured in Episode of America's Best Restaurants

E+O Kitchen at The Banks

Local restaurant E+O Kitchen is about to get some national recognition. The restaurant, with locations at The Banks and in Hyde Park, will be featured on the web series America’s Best Restaurants.

America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company based in Florence, Kentucky, uses its series to focus on local, independently owned restaurants. They’ll be bringing their roadshow to E+O Kitchen’s Banks location on April 28.

E+O Kitchen is largely known for its Asian and Latin fusion cuisine that places an emphasis on fresh seafood, with fresh fish and sushi as menu standouts. According to a press release, ABR will be highlighting some of E+O Kitchen’s most popular dishes, like their “famous” Brussels sprouts and kale salad – a favorite of Bengals coach Zac Taylor – and the Asian/Latin-fused dish Yakatori grilled lamb chops, which features gochujang (a Korean red chili paste) and chimichurri (an Argentinian cilantro and parsley sauce).

ABR will also be interviewing E+O Kitchen’s director of operations Tim Weiss and corporate chef Ben Toney about the restaurant’s position in the community, including their unique philosophy in hiring and training. Instead of focusing on job experience and skills, the restaurant looks for a certain personality and drive, they said.

“It’s three things: personality, the ability to communicate, and the wantingness and willingness to learn,” Weiss said in the release. “Your journey will evolve more rapidly if you have the ability to engage people, communicate and then teach people what you know, because that’s how you expand; that’s how you grow.”

ABR says they will announce the air date of the finished episode on their Facebook page, and it will be available to watch on their social media channels and website.
