Starting this May, there will be three more cities you can get to from a flight out of CVG Airport.
Both Frontier Airlines and Air Canada are resuming nonstop flights that were previously put on hold due to the pandemic.
Starting May 1, Cincinnatians can fly directly to Toronto's Pearson Airport (YYZ) twice a day. And starting May 26 and 27, respectively, there will be direct Frontier flights to Raleigh-Durham and Philadelphia multiple times a week.
Air Canada's flights will depart CVG at 6:10 a.m. and 4:40 p.m., arriving at YYZ at 7:42 a.m. and 6:12 p.m.
“With overall travel demand accelerating, our flights linking Cincinnati and Toronto will be of interest to customers looking to visit friends and family and explore Canada’s largest City," said Mark Galardo, senior vice president of Network Planning & Revenue Management at Air Canada, in a release. "The route will reconnect two well established business markets and Air Canada’s flights are scheduled to connect easily to a myriad of flights across Canada and Europe through our Toronto Pearson hub."
Frontier's flights to both Raleigh-Durham (RDU) and Philadelphia (PHL) have been on hold for two years due to COVID. Service resumes to RDU on May 26 and operates Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, leaving CVG at 10:15 a.m. Service resumes to PHL on May 27 with flights Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, leaving CVG at 3:09 p.m.
“As travel demand continues to pick up, we are pleased Frontier is resuming service between CVG and these two markets this spring,” Candace McGraw, CVG's chief executive officer, said in a release. “This is good news as both Raleigh-Durham, the Research Triangle, and Philadelphia, the birthplace of the United States, appeal to tourism, friend and family travel and corporate travel.”
