A native Cincinnatian was shot and killed Saturday at an Atlanta-area country club.

Gene Siller, originally of Colerain, died from a gunshot wound to the head, police told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The 41-year-old Siller was the golf pro and director at Pinetree Country Club in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Police have not yet found the killer.

On July 3, police found an unresponsive man — later identified as Siller — with an apparent gunshot wound to the head near the 10th hole of the club's golf course. Cobb County police later found two additional men dead in a white pick-up truck on the course, which is about 30 miles northwest of Atlanta.

WXIA-TV in Atlanta reported that a club member recalled Siller watching a vehicle drive onto the course before heading that way to check it out. The shooting happened mid-afternoon, police said.

A second witness said they heard five shots.

"Then nothing went on, and immediately members reacting like 'I think there might be gunshots' and then apparently somebody was down on the ground," the witness said told WXIA. "Then it was kind of like a frenzy, everyone was trying to figure out what was going on."

A third witness recalled someone driving the white pick-up truck onto the golf course.

Siller was a member of the Professional Golfer's Association (PGA) and had competed in Georgia PGA Section golf tournaments. The PGA issued a statement following his death:

The Georgia State Golf Association also shared its condolences.

WKRC-TV reported that Siller graduated from Colerain High School in 1992 and played basketball. A GoFundMe has been set up for his surviving wife and children.

In Cincinnati, police are still investigating a July 4 shooting that left two dead and several others injured.
