Lexington, Ky.’s Bear Medicine is a four-piece group that creates a mesmerizing swirl of Indie Folk with guitar, cello, piano, flute, gentle percussion and captivating vocal melodies. The soulful quartet released its debut album, The Moon Has Been All My Life, late last year to critical praise, including a glowing review from modern Roots music bible No Depression, which called its sound “shimmering, alluring, and filled with a kind of hushed ambiance.” Bear Medicine’s current tour kicks off in Cincinnati this week, with great, like-minded local band The Mitchells opening.
