Dayton Contemporary Dance Company collabs with Cincinnati's Elementz for a performance at Sawyer Point on Aug. 18.

Stuffy indoor theater performances aren’t for everybody these days, which is why Dayton Contemporary Dance Company is embracing the warm weather and “Taking It To The Streets” with a free outdoor performance on the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 18.

Presented by the Cincinnati Parks Foundation, the show will kick off at 7 p.m. and dancers will perform with Elementz's Hip Hop Company at the P&G Pavilion in Sawyer Point. Both organizations will present a variety of works meant to celebrate “the diversity of the community that inspires collective energy,” the theater’s official announcement explains.

Dayton Contemporary Dance Company has been named the best regional art theater in CityBeat's Best of Cincinnati issue two years in a row, ensuring it's a can't-miss event for local entertainment.
