Jason Kelce lost his Super Bowl ring in a pile of chili during the New Heights live show in Cincinnati. No — this is not just a really strange dream you've had. This shit really happened.

Jason and Travis Kelce, both former University of Cincinnati football players, paid a visit to their alma mater on April 11 to bring their New Heights podcast to life in a debauchery-filled show at Fifth Third Arena. One of the portions of the live show featured the first-ever Great Lombaby Games, in which UC students divided into two teams — Team Athletic and Team Academic —competed in a number of hilarious and quintessentially Cincinnati games.

During the second game, players from the two teams were instructed to search for Jason's Super Bowl ring, which he earned playing for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018, in an inflatable pool of Skyline chili. It seems that the students never actually recovered the ring, since Jason claims that he still hasn't seen it since that day.

"There was an unfortunate-ness as you guys know, this game existed because I continuously lose my Super Bowl ring, and I don't even know if Travis still knows this, but I legitimately lost my Super Bowl ring in this event," Jason said during Wednesday's episode of New Heights. "They could not find it...All of this stuff has been thrown away so I think we can safely assume my Super Bowl ring is now in a landfill someplace in the Cincinnati/Tri-State area."

Jason says that he had an intern then search the chili slop with a shovel and metal detector but the hunt turned up nothing.

After his brother called him an "imbecile" for losing the valuable ring, Jason said, "It's just a hunk of metal, I'll just have another one made I think. They can do that right?"

This is actually not the first time that Jason has lost his Super Bowl ring. According to Talk Sports, Jason had previously misplaced the ring and later found it in the glove compartment of his car. How casual.
