In one of the Bard's most controversial works, Antonio takes care of a debt for his friend Bassanio - who uses the funds to woo the beautiful Portia. A more malevolent Shylock, the persecuted man who loaned the money sees his debt go unpaid. Portia and Bassanio work together to save their friend before Shylock can seal his fate.
