Downtown Cincinnati is home to a new nightclub with the opening of LoVe on Fourth.

LoVe is the newest venture from Cincinnati entrepreneur Rico Grant, who also owns Gallery at Gumbo and Cinema OTR and is the founder of Paloozanoire. Grant says LoVe provides an elevated experience that caters to young corporate professionals and creatives and pairs the concept of a nightclub with quality hospitality.

The club features bottle service, a DJ booth with state-of-the-art sound and lighting and eight VIP sections. VIP reservations and bottle service can be booked online, and non-VIP patrons can also RSVP to the guest list online for free to allow for faster entry. There is also a strict dress code that requires “a fashion-forward and posh approach for all,” says a press release, banning apparel like athletic shorts, torn jeans and flip-flops.

Grant says LoVe will also offer a spot for those working downtown to be able to enjoy an earlier happy hour.

“Other big cities do happy hour really well,” Grant said in the release. “Cincinnati just does it too late. LoVe will be opening at 4 p.m. on Fridays so people can come straight from work to relax and have a drink to kick off the weekend before heading home, to dinner or out for the night.”

The weekly happy hour will be called “Professional Recess,” an adult version of Grant’s favorite class in school, he says. He’ll also be launching a “LoVe on Sunday” event, a play on words for LIV Nightclub’s “LIV on Sunday” in Miami.

“It’s always inspiring to watch Rico take an idea and run with it,” Lindzie Gunnels, commercial leasing manager for 3CDC, said in the release. “He had a specific vision for this space and nothing could stop him from making it happen. We have the utmost confidence that Rico will activate this space in a way that will keep people coming back for more.”

LoVe will be open Friday through Sunday and serve as an event space during the week.
